Well done to all involved! But Imagine being an anesthetist, having trained for decades in situations just like this. To approach one out of work where they are all shouting over each other and be told basically to go away.
I have almost drowned before and getting flipped upside down when one moment you have lake floor below you and the next moment you dont is terrifying. I was lucky I got flipped back up and caught the floor otherwise it was over for me.
I would HATE to just wake up after almost drowning and then have all of those people surrounding me and begin clapping. I probably wouldn’t realize that they were there since I just almost drowned but once I’m fine and realize what just happened i’d get so angry and upset.
Now these are lifeguards! 👍 I hate when I see really young teenagers as lifeguards. They rarely take their job seriously and I feel it's sort of horrible to put that type of pressure of someone elses life in such a young person's hands. I'm from the US though and I am speaking of here in the US.
Every time I watch these videos of these lifeguards working codes from drowning victims, I get extremely angry. Yes they are technically doing what they need to do....but the way they’re doing things is not quality care from a medical standpoint. They need to fine tune their training, and work on the small things. Other than that, good job.
Honestly, if I was ever at Bondi Beach, I'd always make sure I'm swimming in safe areas and if I still feel unsure about it, I would stay as close to the shore as possible. Like I get everyone wants to have fun and enjoy themselves but the safety flags and lifeguards are there for a reason, they are trying to ensure you're safe. It's honestly sad how many people brush off the flags and lifeguards warnings of staying in the safe zone.
Such a difficult job and very underrated. They need to scan an area and sometimes an extremely large one, like this beach here, with tons of people in a matter of seconds. That is difficult within itself. They go to work specifically to help save a life. That's commendable.
In this situation, I don't think we should blame the non-swimmers... We should ALL thank those great guys from BondiRescue who were able to save that man's live... It was great to hear the applause from the bystanders...
That was incredible. You guys are amazing. Bravo!
You literally saved that guys life. Y'all should be very proud. I'm sure y'all play it down cos you say you're just doing your job but you're lifesavers. You're family and friends and those nearby that seen what you did are VERY proud of y'all. The dude you saved is no doubt very happy and proud of you lads.
Oh my God that made cry😭😭the boy that was drowning really made me sad but thanks God because he is ok now. I really appreciate the life guard because they really saved his life 😍🤩they are heroes 😍😍 thanks God because he is fine🤗🤗🤗
Wauw, that was just amazing. These lifeguards are the biggest heros and is saving so many lifes. It would be an idea to have a paymentsystem so every person who goes to the Beach pay 5 dollars to be there so the guard get some more pay!
I don't know how to swim so I go on a floatie but everytime I do I end up sleeping on it and my older brothers have to come swim all the way far out and bring me back to the shore and that's why I don't swim anymore 😂
