Hello Everyone, I am African American and have never been to Africa before. I want to move to Africa after college in America and wanted to know my chances there as a computer engineering major, which country in Africa is best for me to get a great job with my major and most of all, how welcoming of us African Americans are the African people?

Hi Semper Gumby, Africa is vast and growing. I think Rwanda is a great place with lots of opportunities but I suppose you'd have network and perhaps speak to people from Rwanda before making a trip to the place. An African's attitude towards African Americans is largely based on personal experiences and there is nothing specific, it all depends on the individual not pertaining to a group-think. Some African countries--like Ghana, for example--do have sizable African American population who moved there permanently and live there. Botswana is another place I would point in terms of African professionals moving to a country for specific employment opportunities. Uganda, too. I would suggesting booking a vacation in any of these countries, spending a few weeks there and possibly establish contacts regarding your job search. Best of luck!
