Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the latest civilian helicopters Mi-171A2 and Ka-226T to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok on Wednesday. Russia will supply India with 60 helicopters, of the Ka-226 class, and another 140, which will be assembled in India with a localisation level from 50-70 per cent under a bilateral deal signed in 2015. "I flew on this helicopter and liked it, it is very comfortable. Its advantage is that it has coaxial rotors and no tail rotor, so it withstands well crosswind pressures both in mountains and sea," Putin said on the Ka-226T. The Indian prime minister checked the Mi-171A2 advanced civilian helicopter which will be also supplied to India. Established in 2015 to support the economic development of Russia’s Far East, the Eastern Economic Forum will be running until September 6. He then also seemed to say that Putin’s term as president was going well, saying "Great term isn't it? You don't have problems, we have, you haven't." “We have them too. The same,” Putin assures his American counterpart in both Russian and English. Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe Viral homeless opera singing sensation Emily Zamourka performed at the grand opening of the New Little Italy ceremony in Los Angeles on Saturday, for the first time after being discovered by a police officer in a Los Angeles subway station. The Moldovan musician sang an aria from Italian opera composer Giacomo Puccini and thanked the attendees for their support. "This is a great feeling to be here standing in front of you”, she said. After the event, the 52-year old recognised that she "even forgot the words while I was singing”. "I was too nervous but I made it through”, the singer added. Grammy-nominated producer Joel Diamond, who has offered her the chance to record an album, assured that "she will just go right to the top of the charts." "I have faith and confidence in her and I know I’ll be able to produce a hit record with her," Diamond concluded. Zamourka became homeless around 2017 after someone broke her violin while performing on the street and therefore preventing her from earning a living. UN: "We are not gays" - Mugabe shocks the UN General Assembly

02:43
"We are not gays," President of Zimbabwe Robert Mugabe told the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Monday. "We reject attempts to prescribe new rights that are contrary to our values, norms, traditions and beliefs," he said. The comment drew gasps and laughter from the delegates. However, Mugabe - who led the militant Zimbabwe Afircan National Union against white minority rule in Rhodesia the 1960s and 1970s - also drew applause from the audience after he reiterated his nation's "unwavering" support towards the Palestinian people as well as his condemnation of "destabilisation" policies from outside powers in the Middle East. Discussing the ongoing tragedy in the Mediterranean, the "tragic situation could have been avoided through the respect of the independence of other countries and non-interference in internal affairs," the 91-year-old Zimbabwean leader added. Syria: Russian sappers and Uran-6 robot detonate IEDs in Aleppo

Russian sappers continued to clear residential areas of eastern Aleppo of explosive devices on Wednesday, after a big land mine was found in an old truck in Bustan al-Qasr. The area was evacuated after a group of sappers from the International Mine Action Centre found a tube filled with 300 kilograms (661 pounds) of TNT that was controlled by radio signal. The Head of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces, Igor Mikhailik, stated, that, "with the help of special equipment the radio signal was muffled and sappers neutralised this explosive device." He noted that, "the vehicle was prepared as a ‘jihad-mobile,’ placed in a densely populated area and was designed to be blown up during the afternoon, when there is a large number of both cars and local residents." Russian sappers continued the mine clearance operation in residential areas, while the robotic Uran-6 complex inspected the city’s outskirts where it detonated explosives. The squad of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces arrived at the Hmeymim airbase in Latakia on December 3. Ukraine: IntMin Avakov throws water over Saakashvili after heated exchange

02:52
A meeting of Ukraine's National Council of Reforms was cancelled in Kiev, Wednesday, after a heated argument broke out between Odessa's Governor Mikheil Saakashvili and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov. The argument broke out after Avakov questioned Saakashvili over accusations he had made claiming that Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers was guilty of corruption. The heated exchange ended with Avakov throwing his glass of water over Saakashvili. Both politicians were arguing over Saakashvili's statement at the Odessa anti-corruption forum, where he accused the Cabinet of Ministers of "heading corruption." Avakov argued that the Odessa governor had failed to present any evidence of his claims and accused Saakashvili of corruption and of impeding the privatisation of the Odessa port factory. UK: Scuffles break out as Tommy Robinson leaves court

01:42
Supporters of 'former English Defence League leader' Tommy Robinson pushed and shoved with journalists reporting on his trial, after he left the Old Bailey court in London on Tuesday. Pushing and exchanging words with camera operators and photographers, supporters apparently tried to stop them from filming Robinson. Footage shows a man pushing a camera operator away and swearing at him as he tried to film Robinson’s departure from the building. Judges gave permission to go ahead with a re-trial for contempt of court after an application from the UK attorney-general. Robinson, who has had a series of convictions, is facing the charge for filming and broadcasting on social media people who were involved in a criminal case. Robinson accused the system of changing the charges to keep him behind bars. “This is about them finding anything they can to tie me up, to put me back in prison," he said. "They talk about press freedom, there’s no press freedom in the UK. Not unless you go with the status quo,” he added. Robinson was already convicted and jailed in the same case in May 2017 for 10 months and then to three more months for breaching a previous suspended sentence. It was cancelled by the court of appeal last August and Robinson was released on bail. The new proceedings may send him back to prison if he is found guilty.
