A film by Kate Tsang. http://blogs.kqed.org/filmschoolshort... SO YOU'VE GROWN ATTACHED: Ex loves his job as 11-year-old Izzy’s imaginary friend. They read comics, watch kung fu movies and avoid the reality of Izzy’s transient life. “How long do you think we’ll stay this time?” Izzy asks Ex as they check out their latest house. At the Bureau of Imaginary Friends, Ex is proud of his impressive nine-year record. Unfortunately, Ex’s supervisor, a giant teddy bear named BearBear, thinks it’s time for Ex to retire so Izzy can start making human friends. Instead, Ex plots to remain relevant by coaching Izzy on talking to her cute neighbor, Ron. Ex has good intentions, but switching from throwing ninja stars and discussing the finer points of Skull Slam comics to “how to lure your man and keep him” proves to be a bumpy transition.
